Special thanks from Audubon Young Birders

A Big Thank-you to Jim Forester and The Forester Group who donated supplies to build  Bluebird Nest Boxes for our Young Birders Club Bluebird Rescue Team Project, and to Gregg Beall for building them.

The Young Birders Club is currently working with local schools to document data for a Bluebird Monitoring Trail. We have 4 elementary schools so far that are participating in the project. Thank you for supporting the Audubon!

Ted and Ginnie Below honored

Ted and Ginnie Below were presented with a Coastal Stewardship award for their dedication to helping the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve meet its mission:  promoting informed coastal decisions.

Ted, with Ginnie's help, has been monitoring coastal water birds in the reserve for more than 30 years.  Results from Ted's monitoring have been instrumental in analyzing effects of land use changes over the years and continue to contribute to the guidance of regional management efforts.
