For all trips, please bring binoculars, bird/nature guides, water, snacks, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (no flip-flops!) and a hat, and please note that some trips may require shoes to get wet. Please remember to walk and speak quietly during the outings so as not to frighten the wildlife. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure times to sign in. Walkie-talkies will be provided this year on outings, but please be sure to return these to the trip leader before departing. Car pooling, when possible, is appreciated. All trips are subject to rescheduling or cancellation due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact information for each outing is provided in the description. Please note that some of the trips require pre-registration and some have limited numbers of participants.

2009-10 Southwest Florida Christmas Bird Counts (December 14-January 4)
Join Collier County Audubon in the 108th annual Christmas Bird Count as birders across the continent gather data on winter bird populations. Various count groups will form throughout the area. Check the Collier County Audubon Society's newsletter Audugram for details.

Southwest Florida Birding Festival ~ January 15-17, 2010
The annual Southwest Florida Birding Festival is hosted by the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and features a variety of lectures, activities, and outings to the surrounding area in search of birds. Registration is mandatory for most trips. Visit www.rookerybay.org or call 417-6310 for information.
Directions: The Rookery Bay Learning Center is located at 300 Tower Road, just off of C.R. 951 and a few miles south of US 41.
Big O Birding Festival, Moore Haven ~ March 25-28, 2010
This popular birding festival targets exciting central Florida species such as Barn Owls, Crested Caracaras, and nesting Swallow-tailed Kites. Birding tours will be conducted in the morning and the afternoon, with lectures by birding experts at noon and with dinner during the festival. Collier County Audubon will likely make a trip to the festival. Watch the Audugram for details.
